Hola
It's about time to start adding more media technology to the blog.
I found this video surfing the internet. It describes an on-going project in the west African country of Benin. The project, Songhai Centre Commitment to Excellence,
is a perfect example of what developing countries are doing to address the social and economic problems facing their nations.
Although I've seen several models similar to this one, the Songhai Centre is unique on its emphasis on markets. Farmers in Central America and Sub-saharan Africa need income generating activities that can get them out of poverty traps. Sure sustainability, participation, gender equality and other components of projects are pluses, but a model that does not increase income is unsustainable in the long run.
